In 1982, I have graduated with honors from the Moscow Finance Academy (formerly the Institute). In 1997, graduated from the Law Faculty of St. Petersburg State University. In 2001, defended her doctoral dissertation at the Finance Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation on the topic "Modern trends in the development of the world insurance market".
In 1992-1996, I served as Deputy Head of the Federal Insurance Supervision Service of the Russian Federation and participated in the working out of the main regulatory documents regulating activities in the insurance market of Russia, the preparation of international agreements in the field of insurance with the participation of the Russian Federation, participated in the international insurance associations.
Since March 1997, I headed the Moscow office of the international reinsurance company General Reinsurance AG, Berkshire Hathaway, representing the company in the insurance market of Russia and the CIS countries.
Professor of the Department of Risk Management and Insurance of MGIMO since 1993. The main courses are "Economics of the insurance market", "Modern concepts of risk assessment and management", "Political risks management", "Insurance marketing", "Compliance risk management" and others. Since 1994, I have been conducting courses at MGIMO in the disciplines "Insurance Law”, "European Insurance Law". Under my leadership, about 20 PhDs, and three Doctors of Economics have been defended, more than 20 master's theses were approved.
Since 2021, I am the scientific director of the Master's program of the School of Business and International Competencies "Sustainable Development Management" and the scientific director of the MGIMO Center for Sustainable Development.
I am the Chairlady of the Russian section of the International Association of Insurance Law (AIDA) within the framework of the Association of European Businesses, at the same time a member of the Presidential Council of this international organization — AIDA. I participate in the work of a number of expert councils, and I am a member of the Supervisory Board of the Russian National Reinsurance Company (RNPC).
More than 70 scientific papers in the field of insurance and insurance law were published. I am an active speaker in the insurance business community, making presentations at professional conferences.
