
In 2013, Dr. Putintsev graduated with honors from MGIMO School of International Relations and entered a post-graduate programme. In 2018, he defended his thesis «Specific features of domestic political evolution of Moldova in the post-Soviet period (1991-2016) and received his PhD in history.
Dr. Putintsev began his career at MGIMO in 2015 as the Assistant to the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Pre-University Education. In 2018, he became a Lecturer and later a Senior Lecturer and an Associate Professor at the Department of European and American Studies.
In 2023, Dr. Putintsev became the Vice-Rector for language and pre-university education. Не supervises Language Training Department, Faculty of Pre-university Education, Pre-University Training Centre, The Centre for the Study of Foreign Languages, Scientific and Methodological Council on Foreign Languages.
Areas of Research Interest: History and politics in Central and Eastern Europe.
Dr. Putintsev is the author of 30 scientific publications in Russian and foreign languages including individual chapters in monographs and a number of articles included in Scopus.
He gives lectures in history, foreign policy and the system of governance in East European countries.
Dr. Putintsev is fluent in English and Romanian and speaks Polish.
He is married and has two daughters.
