The Russian Public Opinion Research Center published the results of a study, timed to coincide with the national Student Day, on the factors, which guide students and their parents in their choice of a university. It also released its latest ranking of Russian universities. MGIMO comes second in the ranking of the most famous Russian universities.
When selecting a university, Russians find the most important criteria to be the qualifications of the faculty members, indeed 99% of Russians indicated that this was an important or very important factor. Among other priority criteria, the quality of training in a specific field of interest (97%), the availability of scholarships (95%) and a good employability upon graduation record (95%).
