MGIMO Launches Dual Master’s Program with UNITAR

12 September 2017

MGIMO Master’s Program Department is pleased to announce the creation of a new English-language MA program «Multilateral Diplomacy», in cooperation with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). The first intake of students will start their studies in autumn 2018.

MGIMO and UNITAR have been collaborating for many years and in May this year they decided to step-up their cooperation and jointly put together a new program based at MGIMO University in Moscow. One specificity of the program is the active participation of UNITAR specialists, who will be involved in teaching modules each semester of the course, sharing their practical experience and encouraging students to develop their negotiating skills.

The final semester of the program will be an internship in an international organization. UNITAR has a number of partner organizations, all willing to accept interns from MGIMO, among them: the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the International Trade Center (ITC), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), UNESCO, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), and the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

If you are interested in enrolling in this program in 2018, please contact us at masters@inno.mgimo.ru.
