February 17th, MGIMO Rector Anatoly Torkunov had a meeting with the Ambassador of Ethiopia in Russia Grum Abay Teshome and the sides signed a Memorandum on Collaboration.
The parties to the discussion mulled over the prospects for cooperation between the Institute for training diplomatic staff at the Ethiopian Foreign Ministry and MGIMO University.
The framework and goals of the partnership were outlined in a Memorandum signed by both sides. The agreement plans for the training of Ethiopian diplomats at MGIMO as well as scientific and academic exchanges. The parties also agreed that the Ambassador would soon come to MGIMO to lecture students of the University.
