On January 11th, MGIMO University , the International Institute of Energy Policy and Diplomacy (MIEP MGIMO) and the University of Tehran signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
The cooperation envisages creating a Russian-Iranian Institute for Energy Cooperation, launching joint programs for two master's degree, an MBA, further education, as well as advanced training programs for the two countries’ leading oil and gas and energy companies.
Promoting cooperation with the University of Tehran has emerged as a result of MIEP MGIMO thorough research into new opportunities for relevant joint educational and scientific projects with the most reputable foreign universities in light of the new geopolitical situation. MIEP MGIMO pays special attention to closer cooperation with the most authoritative and prestigious educational and R&D centers of the Middle and Far East.
Established in 1851, the University of Tehran is one of the largest and oldest universities in Iran. It has eight campuses across the country, the Tehran campuses having 48 faculties and more than 60 institutes and research centers. The University has more than 50 thousand students and 2,000 faculty members, the training being conducted in Persian and English. The University of Tehran is the leading “digital university” in Iran.
