September 26th, the Ambassador of Switzerland to Russia, Yves Rossier came to MGIMO University with Political Advisor Clemence Maitre.
Yves Rossier has been heading the Swiss embassy in Moscow since 2016 and before then served his country as Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs. The guest was greeted by MGIMO’s Vice-Rector for Human Resources, Vladimir Morozov. During their interview, the parties discussed issues of cooperation in education. The Vice-Rector spoke about the student exchange agreements MGIMO has with universities in Switzerland and the ambassador spoke about development prospects for bilateral relations.
Yves Rossier also delivered a lecture to students of the University on the history of his country and the specific role it plays on the European continent. The guest answered a number of questions from students, relating to Brexit, Switzerland’s energy policy, and its position on major international issues.
