October 4th, the Director of MGIMO’s International Energy Policy and Diplomacy Institute Valery Salygin had a meeting with the Minister of Energy and Industry of Qatar Mohammed Saleh Al Sada, who is on an official visit to Moscow in the framework of «Russian Energy Week».
The visiting delegation included representatives of the Embassy of Qatar in Moscow and the Ministry of Energy and Industry. On the Russian side, the meeting was attended by faculty members of the University, representatives of Rosneft and the Russian International Affairs Council.
The sides considered the possibility of creating a Russian-Qatari Institute of Energy Cooperation, of developing dual educational programs and conducting joint research on innovative technologies in the oil and gas industry.
