May 31st, the President of the Alumni Association of Sciences Po, also Professor of Political Sciences, and former Director of the Center for Political Research at Sciences Po, Pascal Perrineau, came to MGIMO University.
The guest participated in a meeting with MGIMO’s Vice-Rector for General Affairs, Artem Malgin, during which they discussed cooperation in education between the two universities. Pascal Perrineau remarked that the proportion of foreign students at Sciences Po had significantly increased and had led to an internationalization of the educational process. The sides discussed the corporate publications of the universities and the project to publish in Russian the magazine of Sciences Po Alumni.
The French delegation included Sciences Po Professor Pascal Cauchy, a Research Director at the Center for Political Research Anne Muxel, and a Coordinator at the French Institute in Russia, Anna Pankova.
After the meeting, Pascal Perrineau gave a talk to MGIMO students about French politics, offering a detailed description of the French presidential elections of 2017 and the current political situation in the country. The guest also attended an interview with MGIMO Rector Anatoly Torkunov, during which they discussed the Trianon Dialogue and upcoming events such as the meeting of MGIMO Graduates in Paris.
