MGIMO has started to accept applications for the new bachelor program it is implementing jointly with the University of Reading (Great Britain). Graduates at the end of their studies will be granted bachelor’s degrees from MGIMO in International Relations and from the University of Reading in Politics and International Relations.
The program lasts four years, the first two spent at MGIMO and the last two at Reading. The curriculum of the first year meets the requirements of the International Foundation Program (IFP) of the University of Reading, and upon successful completion of the first year, students will be granted an IFP diploma.
All courses will be taught in English and students will have the opportunity to study two foreign languages at MGIMO and one, aside English, at the University of Reading. Diplomas from these two prestigious universities will open up employment prospects for graduates and will allow them to apply for master programs at MGIMO, Reading and other universities.
At MGIMO, the dual program is carried out by the School of Government and International Affairs, and comprises lectures by Russian and foreign professors. The cost of the course for foreign students is 12 000 euros per annum for the two years in MGIMO and approximately 18 000 pounds per annum at the University of Reading.
