February 18th, MGIMO Rector A.Torkunov met with the Ambassador of Canada to the Russian Federation Alison LeClaire.
The parties spoke about the current state of bilateral relations and examined the prospects for the development of Russian-Canadian relations in various fields. They also discussed at length collaboration in education and research between MGIMO and universities of Canada, including the possibility of increasing student exchanges. MGIMO currently has a cooperation agreement with the University of Ottawa, the largest bilingual university in North America.
The Deputy Chief of Mission Minister Counselor Anne Mattson Gauss also attended the meeting.
