October 31st, the Chairman of the Government Dmitry Medvedev nominated Sergey Kravtsov Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
Born on March 17th, 1974 in Moscow, Sergey Kravtsov graduated from MGIMO University in 2000, with a specialization in «State and Municipal Management with Knowledge of a Foreign Language». He started his career as Researcher then as Head of Laboratory at the Education Management Institute of the Russian Academy of Education.
In 2002, he joined the Ministry of Education and Science, in 2008 he became Director of the Federal State Institution Federal Testing Center, in 2011 he was appointed Director of the Regional Development Department at the Ministry of Education and Science and from 2012 he served as Director of the Program Management and Bidding Procedures Department at the Ministry of Education and Science. In August 2013, he was appointed Head of the Federal Service for the Supervision of Education and Science.
