Israeli Ambassador Harry Koren Lectures at MGIMO

March 15th, MGIMO welcomed the Ambassador of Israel to the Russian Federation, Harry Koren. The Ambassador and the First Secretary of the Embassy Noa Ginosar had an interview with MGIMO’s Vice-Rector for Human Resources Vladimir Morozov and gave a talk to students.

During the meeting, the sides explored the opportunities for cooperation between MGIMO and Israeli universities and figured out the fields in which they could carry out joint activities and research.

In his lecture, Harry Koren spoke about the positive trend in Russian-Israeli relations and about the most promising spheres for economic collaboration. Agriculture, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, tourism and information technologies are according to the Ambassador some of the priority areas for bilateral relations. The guest also offered his analysis of the situation in the Middle East, touching upon Israel’s security concerns and its relations with neighboring countries. Upon completion of the lecture, the speaker took questions from the audience.
