December 4th-5th, a delegation from MGIMO led by its Vice-Rector for Research Evgeny Kozhokin, attended the Second Meeting of India-Russia Heads of Think-Tanks, in Delhi.
The participants of the Forum received a warm welcome from a representative of the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Shri Vijay Gokhale, and from the Russian Ambassador to India Nikolay Kudashev. During the Forum, Russian and Indian experts discussed a myriad of topics relating to bilateral relations: the strategic partnership between Russia and India, the recent changes in the political and economic structure of the world, the 4th industrial revolution, Russia’s role in Asia and India’s role in Eurasia and the situation in the Arctic and in the Indian and Pacific Oceans.
The Russian delegation comprised the Advisor to the Russian President, Sergey Glazyev, the Director of the Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations at the Russian Academy of Sciences Feodor Voytolovsky, as well as diplomats from the Russian Foreign Ministry, civil servants and representatives of major Russian universities.
MGIMO acted at the coordinator of the bilateral forum on the Russian side. The University was represented at the event by its Vice-Rector for Research Evgeny Kozhokin and members of the Faculty. The conference was hosted by the Indian Council of World Affairs and attended by numerous Indian and international think-tanks.
