Delegation From Hanoi Law University Visits MGIMO

October 12th, MGIMO’s Vice-Rector for Graduate and International Programs, AndreyBaykov greeted a delegation from Hanoi Law University (Vietnam), led by its Vice-Rector Chan KwangHee. The meeting was dedicated to deepening cooperation between the two universities.

On MGIMO’s side, the meeting was attended by the Director of the European Studies Institute, TamaraShashikhina. The visiting delegation also comprised the Dean of the Faculty of International Trade Law, his deputy and an MGIMO graduate of 1992.

AndreyBaykov welcomed the guests and spoke about the years of fruitful cooperation between MGIMO and Vietnamese universities, remarking that the Vietnamese language has been taught at the University since 1954. MGIMO currently offers many educational programs targeted at foreign students, taught both in Russian and in English, which could be of interest to students of Hanoi Law University looking to intern or study abroad.

The Vice-Rector expressed the desire to see collaboration between their two institutions expand and wished the guests success in the framework of the round table that Hanoi Law University is organizing jointly with the European Training Institute.

Chan KwangHeenoted the excellent reputation MGIMO has in his country and extended his thanks to MGIMO management for their interest in developing friendly relations. The Vice-Rector declared his readiness to deepen cooperation in research with MGIMO and invited, on behalf of the Rector of his Institute, the Russian side to visit Hanoi Law University.
