February 27th, a conference on reputation management called “eTarget. Technologies to Form the Information Background”, organized jointly by MGIMO and the firm Ashmanov & Partners, one of the leaders in the Russian Internet marketing market, was held at the University.
The event was kicked off by the Director of the School of Business and International Proficiency A.Mirzoeva, who remarked that the “Reputation Management” conference was being held at MGIMO for the second time and that over 200 digital specialists gathered for the event.
The President of Ashmanov & Partners I.Ashmanov described to the guests the social landscape of the Runet and the different opportunities that open up for businesses when “everything and everything” is becoming digitalized.
During the conference, the participants spoke about different aspects of reputation management in the traditional media and in social media. Various case studies were presented by internet marketing experts.
The Leading Analyst at the firm Kribrum K.Semenovyh and the Head of the Ashmanov & Partners Social Media Advertising Department V.Sinchugov gave a talk on recent trends in reputation management, offering advise on how to respond to negative information events.
The Head of the joint MBA program of MGIMO and the British Higher School of Art and Design D.Yadernaya spoke about the main reputational risks related to educational projects.
D.Feyzullov, Director of Digital & Social Media, PR Partner, presented the cases of Philips and Tabasco and hashed them out with the participants of the conference, sharing advice on how not to lose the battle for content. OZON’s PR Director M.Zaikina and the Head of the External Communications Department at Bank Otkritie A.Barkovsky warned about the new challenges faced today by PR experts.
The "digital" day at MGIMO also comprised a networking session and a round table with experts, as well as the graduation ceremony of the first cohort of students of the joint MGIMO-MIPT MBA program, which trains specialists in the field of Digital Technologies and the Digital Economy.
