Markus Jerger Gives Talk on Small and Medium Business at MGIMO

April 4th, MGIMO welcomed the CEO of the German Association for Small and Medium-sized Businesses, Markus Erger. The guest had an interview with the Rector of the University Anatoly Torkunov and the Vice-Rector for General Affairs Artem Malgin and delivered a lecture to students of the University.

After being introduced to the audience by the Head of the German language Department, Marina Chigasheva, Markus Jerger spoke about his professional experience and described the history, goals and work of the Association he manages. The Organization was founded 40 years ago and unites on a voluntary basis the representatives of small and medium businesses, which are the basis of the German economy.

The guest also noted that the Association has plans to develop cooperation initiatives with other countries, including Russia, and to offer its assistance to promote the professional development of young professionals. After his talk, Markus Jerger took questions from the audience and complimented the students on their excellent command of the German language.

The event was jointly organized by the Dean of the International Law School Gennady Tolstopyatenko and the German language Department.
