December 6th, MGIMO welcomed the Ambassador of France to Russia, Sylvie Bermann. The guest had a meeting with MGIMO Rector Anatoly Torkunov, during which the sides thanked each other for the role they both played in the organization of the Trianon Dialogue events held in Paris late November. They also reviewed the calendar of joint events scheduled for the upcoming year.
After that, Anatoly Torkunov introduced the Ambassador to an audience of students and members of the faculty, emphasizing Sylvie Bermann’s extensive experience as a diplomat in countries such as China and the United Kingdom. The Ambassador’s lecture captured the interest of the audience and was followed by a lively discussion of some aspects of bilateral relations.
