December 14th, a cooperation agreement was signed by MGIMO and the leading audit and consulting group in Russia, BDO Unicon.
BDO Unicon was represented during the visit by its Partner Larisa Efremova. Attending the meeting on MGIMO’s side were the University’s Vice-Rector for Human Resources, Vladimir Morozov, the Dean of the Faculty of International Economic Relations Oleg Pichkov and the Deputy Dean Yulia Potanina.
BDO Unicon Group was founded in 1989 and offers its clients a comprehensive range of services in the field of audit, tax and legal consulting, financial advisory, system integration and business consulting. Over half of the companies from the top 100 of Russian business are their clients.
During their interview, both sides expressed an interest in working together to develop educational, research and practical activities at the University, by building an information partnership, inviting experts from BDO Unicon to participate in MGIMO’s career-oriented activities, and developing professional activities.
Vladimir Morozov described the types of activities which enable students and graduates to develop key skills for the labor market: professional seminars, business simulations, master classes, round tables, meetings with company representatives ect. Larisa Efremova expressed interest in organizing joint events and inviting MGIMO students to intern at the company. The parties agreed to work towards establishing a long-term partnership in view of developing mutually beneficial cooperation.
