March 11th, Nils Plambeck, Dean and CEO of the Paris business school HEC’s campus in Qatar delivered a lecture at MGIMO, in the framework of the tenth module of the Russian-Norwegian-Italian MBA program for employees of Rosneft.
The MBA program «International Business in the Oil and Gas Industry» was created by MGIMO’s International Energy Policy and Diplomacy Institute (MIEP) in 2005 and over a hundred top managers of Rosneft have since then participated in the training program. Currently there are 39 employees enrolled in this MBA program, which is jointly implemented with Nord University (Norway) and the Polytechnic University of Turin (Italy).
On the first day of the module, the prominent foreign expert Nils Plambeck gave a lecture and organized interactive workshops on «Corporate strategies in the Oil Industry». The tenth training module of the program will run until March 15th at MGIMO and will deal with a myriad of topics including the management system of large corporations, the legal aspects of investment cooperation between Russian and foreign corporations working on the development of mineral resources in Russia and legal considerations regarding hydrocarbon resources on the Barents Sea shelf.
Rosneft is one of MGIMO’s and MIEP’s key strategic partners, which employs many of the University’s graduates.
