MGIMO Rector on Russian Olympic Committee Anti-Doping Commission

Anatoly Torkunov, Rector of MGIMO University was selected to join the Anti-Doping Commission of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC).

July 28th, the composition of the ROC Anti-Doping Commission was determined and the independent body includes thirty people who have distinguished themselves by their achievements as athletes, public figures, in the spheres of business or education. MGIMO Rector was chosen to join the commission.

The Commission was created to deal with anti-doping policy in the country at the request of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. Vitaly Smirnov, honorary member of the International Olympic Committee, was appointed as Chairman of the Anti-Doping Commission and Vladimir Lisin, Vice-President of the ROC and President of the Russian Shooting Union was selected as Deputy-Chairman.
