The Library maintains collection of more than 21,000 rare or significant Russian and foreign books published between 16th- and the mid-20th centuries and oriental manuscripts & lithographs in Arabic, Persian and Ottoman Turkish dated 13th - mid-20th centuries. In 2010 all manuscripts were converted into digital form and many of them became accessible at website of the project “Rare books Online”.
