As Vice-rector for Financial and Economic Affairs Dr. Kuzmina supervises the work of the following directorates:
- Economic Management Directorate;
- Financial Development and Control Directorate;
- Center for Start-ups (Business Incubator).
At MGIMO she is also responsible for the following matters:
- Operational issues of accounting;
- Efficiency issues of financial and economic activities;
- Financial development and financial control;
- Implementation and use of management accounting system;
- Pricing of educational services;
- Development and modernization of facilities;
- Monitoring the university road map;
- The operational issues of civil defence and emergency unit;
- Cooperation with the Institute of public-private partnership;
- Students' entrepreneurship activity.
In 1985, she graduated from Plekhanov Moscow Institute of National Economy. In 1998, she received a degree from the International Academy of Entrepreneurship under the Government of Moscow, majoring in Economics. In 1990, she defended her Ph.D. thesis at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. In 2001, she studied at the Faculty of Organizational Psychology of Moscow State University (major: Organizational psychology and personnel management). In 2004, she got her Doctorate degree in Economics from Moscow State University.
Dr. Kuzmina began her career in Moscow in 1977, working in the management system of municipal services. In 1989, she joined Central Research Institute of Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery as an engineer, and later was promoted to the position of Finance Director. Since 2000, she has been Vice-President, member of the Russian Academy of Arts. Since 2003, she has worked as Vice-Rector of MGIMO for Economy and Construction. In November 2016, she became Vice-Rector for Financial and Economic Affairs.
Since 2007, Dr. Kuzmina has been a member of the Bidding Commission of the All-Russian Public Fund created at the initiative of the Russian President. From 2008 to 2011, she was a member of the Expert Council on Economic Education of the State Duma Committee on Education. From 2009 till 2012, she supervised the activities of MGIMO Endowment Fund. Since 2014 she has been a member of the public Advisory Council for business and economic cooperation of the Moscow House of Compatriots.

- Honorary diploma of the Russian Academy of Arts “For the big contribution to development of Russian culture and art” (2014).
In 2014, Dr. Kuzmina wrote Effective University: Reload in the joint authorship with Z.Shakirov. Moreover, she is the author of more than 30 scientific papers, published methodological materials and frameworks in Economics and Financial Management in the social sphere.
