Vladimir Morozov

Vice-Rector for Human Resources, Associate Professor at the Department of Diplomacy, Ph.D. in History

As Vice-Rector Dr. Morozov supervises human resources; student internships, graduates and employers (personal and corporate scholarships); faculty retraining and advanced courses; and monitors the work of the Diplomatic Module.

Dr. Morozov received his Bachelor’s degree from the School of International Relations of MGIMO and pursued a Master’s degree in Regional Studies. He also got another degree from the School of Economics of the Russian State Social University. In 2009, he received his Ph.D. in History. In 2002–2004 and 2007–2008 he worked as lecturer at the English language department №7 at MGIMO, specializing in political translation. In 2004–2007 he served as Attaché, Third Secretary of the Russian Embassy in Israel. Between 2007 and 2012 he was Deputy Head and Head of the Department of student engagement and work with graduates of MGIMO. In 2008–2011 he gave lectures at the MSU Department of Regional Issues of World Politics. In 2010, he became Associate Professor at the Department of Diplomacy at MGIMO. In 2012–2014 he worked as Deputy Vice-Rector for human resources in MGIMO. In 2014, he became Vice-Rector for human resources. Since 2013 he has been pursuing a Doctorate degree. In January 2016, he became Member of the Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences on History of International Relations and Foreign Policy of Russia.

Dr. Morozov gives lectures on the following subjects:

  • Russia in world politics;
  • Negotiation strategies of the 21th century: theory and practice;
  • Public diplomacy and its formation in Russia;
  • Negotiations and consulting;
  • Diplomatic service abroad;
  • Judaism (as part of the course “Cultural and religious traditions of the East”).

Dr. Morozov is the author of various publications in Russian and foreign scientific journals on international relations, Middle East and Israeli politics.

Dr. Morozov speaks English, Hebrew and Italian.
