Viktor Kirillov

Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor of the Department of European and American Studies, Vice-Chairman of the Academic Board, Ph.D. in History, Associate Professor

As Vice-Rector Viktor Dr. Kirillov supervises the academic activities, language and pre-university training and academic competitions.

Dr. Kirillov graduated from MGIMO School of International Relations in 1983 and later completed his postgraduate studies. An expert in international relations, he specialises in foreign and domestic policies of Central, East and South-East European countries. He also holds the diplomatic rank of Second Counsellor.

Honors and Awards

  • Honorary title of Merited Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation (2004);
  • Order of Friendship, a governmental award (2011).

Dr. Kirillov is the author of more than 20 publications on international relations, including individual chapters in textbooks and his own textbook. He has also written a number of articles in foreign and Russian scientific journals and participated in international scientific conferences. He gives lectures on history, foreign policy and the systems of governance of the Balkan countries.
