Dr. Alexey N.Borisov graduated from Moscow State University of International Relations (MGIMO-University) in 2002 and Mozhaiskiy Space Engineering Military Academy, St. Petersburg, in 1993.
From 2003 to the present, Chairholder of the UNESCO Chair on Human Rights and Democracy, MGIMO-University, which has 15 regional branches in the Russian Federation.
From 2001 to the present, First Deputy Chairman of the United Nations Association of Russia.
From 2015 to 2018, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the World Federation of UN Associations.
From 2001 to the present, Vice-president of the World Federation of UN Associations.
He participated in numerous conferences and seminars. Alexey Borisov implements numerous programs, including the InterEcoForum, Churkin Moscow International Model United Nations, Russian Regions and UN Sustainable Development Goals, Composing a Letter to the President contest, the International School of Youth Diplomacy, and the Young Diplomat Club. He has published more than 200 articles and monographs.
Alexey Borisov is actively involved in the development of annual report «Regions of Russia and UN sustainable development goals». On February 3, 2020, took place the presentation of the 6th edition of the United Nations Association of Russia report «Russian Regions and the UN Sustainable Development Goals» on the sidelines of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly in New York. The Russian delegation headed by Alexey Borisov had a meeting with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
