November 25th, MGIMO opened its XXXI traditional Autumn Ball on the campus of the University, which attracted students and graduates of the University as well as representatives of the Foreign Ministry. The event was also attended by Oleg Pichkov, Dean of the Faculty of International Economic Relations and Natalya Zagrebelnaya, Dean of the School of Applied Economics and Commerce.
The famous MGIMO ball, which takes place on a yearly basis, gives students the opportunity to revisit the University’s most interesting traditions and meet graduates of the University. In their welcome words, the organizers spoke about the important place the ball occupies in MGIMO’s cultural life and about the University administration’s support for such events.
After three months of intense preparations, the event unfolded according to plan: MGIMO students greeted the ball guests with the MGIMO polonaise and then participated in a program consisting of four parts: historical ballroom dances, followed by a European program, dances from over the world, and last of all Latin American compositions. The participants could cool down at the buffet table, make new acquaintances and share an unforgettable experience, immortalized by a group of professional photographers.
