November 28th-30th, Tomsk State University hosted the III International Forum of University Cities, which was held in the framework of the Trianon Dialogue Russian-French civil society forum. The event was dedicated to discussing the Trianon Dialogue’s key 2018 topic: the «City of the Future».
During different panels, the guests mulled over new concepts of urban management aimed at developing the innovative potential of a city, human capital issues, how research universities can help implement the smart city concept, the challenges of digital transformation and the ways to create an urban ecosystem.
MGIMO was represented at the event by its Vice-Rector for Economic Matters, a prominent expert in urban development, Natalia Kuzmina. On November 28th, the Vice-Rector participated in the official opening ceremony of the forum and witnessed the launch of the international students site UNI4CITY. On November 29th, she attended a presentation of different projects of the Trianon Dialogue.
