November 7th, the Russian members of the Trianon Dialogue Coordination Council had a meeting on cooperation in the educational and cultural spheres.
MGIMO Rector and Co-Chairman of the Trianon Dialogue Anatoly Torkunov welcomed the guests, and Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko read out a message from the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov.
In his speech, Anatoly Torkunov listed the achievements of the Trianon dialogue in 2018 and outlined the main projects and events which will be held by the end of the year: the Paris Peace Forum, the opening of an exhibition dedicated to Alexander Solzhenitsyn in Paris, the reunion of graduates of Russian-French master programs and the meeting of the Coordination Council of the Trianon Dialogue in Versailles on November 27th.
The Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Marina Borovskaya and the Deputy Minister of Education Irina Potekhina, spoke about the action plan for the Trianon Dialogue in 2019, a year which will be devoted to cooperation in education. The updated version of the Trianon Dialogue’s Internet platform was presented to the audience and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of «ADV», Dmitry Korobkov, described how the platform was set up to strengthen the dialogue of Russian and French citizens.
The Director of the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts Marina Loshak spoke about her institution’s joint projects with French museums but also with private French collectors; initiatives which can be further developed through the Trianon dialogue.
