September 14th marked the beginning of a new academic year for undergraduate students at MGIMO-Tashkent.
The management and faculty members of the University greeted the students of MGIMO Tashkent’s branch online, a format all have already become accustomed to.
MGIMO’s Vice-Rector for General Affairs A.Malgin launched the event by congratulating the first-year undergraduate students on the new academic year. Students were also greeted by the First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of UWED and Academic Director of MGIMO’s Tashkent branch M.Bakoev, the Director of the Odintsovo branch E.Kozlovskaya, the Vice-Rector for Social Work and Youth Policy S.Surovtsev and the Deputy Director of the Odintsovo branch L.Pritchina.
During the meeting, the students were introduced to the heads of their educational programs, the deans of different faculties and discovered the specificities of the educational process and social life at MGIMO’s Tashkent branch. Upon completion of the event, E.Kozlovskaya took questions from the freshmen.
This academic year, students were enrolled in the bachelor's programs "Analysis and Modeling of Socio-Economic Processes" ("Business Informatics") and "Private International Law" ("Jurisprudence").
Student curators started to work with the newly matriculated students on September 12th by involving them in different events during which they were introduced to the best traditions of MGIMO in an interactive format. The students got to know their peers and discovered some of the opportunities for extracurricular development.
