December 11th, a general meeting of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency RUSADA was convened, during which the new composition of the Supervisory Board was approved. The Director of the European Studies Institute at MGIMO T.Shashikhina became a board member.
January 1st 2021, the new version of the World Anti-Doping Code of the World Anti-Doping Agency comes into force. According to recent changes, representatives of executive authorities, national Olympic and Paralympic committees, sports federations and organizations are no longer entitled to be a part of the governing bodies of the national anti-doping agency. To comply with the new rules, a change in the members of the Supervisory Board was effected. Among the new members of the board are some prominent public figures, lawyers, scientists and the Director of the European Studies Institute at MGIMO T.Shashikhina.
