July 17th, MGIMO Rector, A.Torkunov received the Ambassador of Pakistan Shafqat Ali Khan at the University. The meeting was also attended by the Vice-Rector for Research E.Kozhokin and the Deputy Head of Mission Muhammad Aftab Chaudhry.
The sides mulled over the prospects for developing cooperation between the two countries in the sphere of higher education and the opportunities to increase the number of students from Pakistan in Russian universities, including those studying humanities.
The Ambassador also remarked that there is a need to better understand the specifics of Russian foreign policy and the way it reinforces stability in various conflict zones.
The Ambassador agreed to deliver a lecture at MGIMO to students and faculty members of the University.
