MGIMO to Create Ecology Course for Schoolchildren

MGIMO and the nonprofit organization «Mishenskoye» Cultural and Educational Foundation were awarded funding by the company HeidelbergCement in order to develop a training course on ecology in foreign languages for schoolchildren over 12 years of age.

November 16th, at the Yasnaya Polyana Cultural Center, HeidelbergCement made a presentation on sustainable development and charity activities. MGIMO was represented at the event by the Vice-Rector for Legal and Administrative Issues, Sergey Shitkov. Also attending was the leadership of governmental committees dedicated to natural resources and environmental protection.

Employees of HeidelbergCement presented MGIMO and the «Mishenskoye» Foundation with a certificate for the development of a course on ecology for children in several foreign languages.

During his talk, Sergey Shitkov conveyed MGIMO Rector Anatoly Torkunov’s gratitude at being awarded this opportunity and explained that MGIMO is truly enthusiastic about teaching both students and schoolchildren a wide range of subjects. The Vice-Rector also emphasized the University’s desire to reinforce cooperation between MGIMO and schools in all Russian regions.
