May 18th, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Ryabkov gave a lecture on “Current Issues of US Foreign Policy”.
During the lecture, S.Ryabkov shared his analysis of the international situation and Russian-American relations, taking into account the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the current context. The speaker also praised the efforts of the Russian Foreign Ministry and other departments to return citizens to their homeland.
The Deputy Minister went on to describe the main areas of Russian-American relations and remarked that the intensity of the dialogue had been maintained. S. Ryabkov analysed the latest developments in the US military-political sphere, issues relating to strategic stability in the light of key multilateral treaties and Washington’s position on a selection of regional topics.
MGIMO Rector A.Torkunov introduced the Deputy Minister and contributed to the discussion at the end of the lecture.
