MGIMO Shines in QS Graduate Employability Ranking

12 September 2017

September 12th, the international agency QS published the results of its third Graduate Employability Ranking.

While the pilot project was launched as recently as in 2015, the rating has become very popular among students, as it presents them with key information about potential universities. The ranking considers universities position on the labor market, their reputation amongst employers and the achievement levels of their graduates.

In 2018, QS specialists considered for the GER rating over 30 thousand employer surveys, studied more than 30 thousand of the most outstanding and successful university graduates to determine which universities they attended, estimated employer-student connections based on the review of over 130 thousand events and around 200 thousand internship agreements.

This year 600 universities worldwide participated in the ranking, 13 of them Russian. MGIMO made it into the 201-250 range in the world ranking and retained its place in the top three Russian universities, behind Moscow State University and St. Petersburg State University. MGIMO scored particularly well in two indicators: the percentage of its graduates employed six months after graduation and the professional achievements of its graduates.
