On July 5th, the MGIMO Rector Anatoly Torkunov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to the Russian Federation Ahmed bin Nasser Al-Thani.
Among the participants of the meeting were the Second Secretary of the Embassy of Qatar Abdullah Al-Saai, the Third Secretary of the Embassy of Qatar Abdulrahman Saleh Al-Kuwari, the representative of the military attache Jaber Ali Al-Kuwari, the BA graduate of the MGIMO School of Governance and Politics Ahmed Al-Hail, with Russian side being represented by the Vice-Rector for Students’ Development and International Affairs Stanislav Surovtsev.
The parties discussed broader cooperation between MGIMO University and the universities of Qatar. The Rector also congratulated Ahmed Al-Hail on his graduation.
Ambassador Ahmed bin Nasser Al-Thani gave a keynote speech before the alumni during the graduation ceremony of the School of Governance and Politics.
