October 14th, the Executive Order by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin on the representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture abroad has been made public. It is highly symbolic that the position of an Agricultural Attache was established on the day of the 75th anniversary of MGIMO.
Today, the agro-industrial complex of Russia is one of the most dynamically expanding sectors of the Russian economy. Hence, there is a high need for this industry-related specialists, including those with command of rare foreign languages. From this year onwards, MGIMO, in conjunction with the Ministry of Agriculture, has on offer two programs designed to promote Russian agricultural products in foreign markets — the "Agriculatural Attache" professional retraining programme and the "World agricultural markets" MSc Programme.
A further MBA program "World agricultural markets and foreign economic activity in agriculture" will be launched literally one of these days.
