The existing agreements with these universities allow students of the region to come to MGIMO on exchange programs, to participate in summer schools and attend Russian language courses.

Ihab Nasr confirmed his country’s interest in developing cooperation with Russian universities and his desire to facilitate student exchanges between MGIMO and Cairo University, the oldest institution in the Middle East for the study of social sciences. The guest explained that Cairo University offers, as does MGIMO, specific courses tailored to the needs of diplomats and can receive MGIMO students studying the Arabic language for specialized linguistic programs.

The Ambassador also noted that cooperation could be developed with the Diplomatic Institute of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, and put an emphasis on joint research as well as the organization of joint scientific events.
