May 23th, MGIMO Rector participated in an award giving ceremony on the eve of the official launch of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The prizes were conferred upon those having contributed to improving global cooperation and promoting international economic activity.
As a member of the Expert Council, MGIMO Rector Anatoly Torkunov presented awards to Sergei Cheryomin, Moscow Government Minister and Head of the Department for Foreign Economic Activity and International Relations and to the Partner at Ernst & Young in Russia, Alexander Ivlev. The prize is designed to recognize the contribution of specific people in promoting the image of Russia as a country open to international cooperation.
