MGIMO International Summer School

June 19th, the first course of the University’s International Summer School, entitled «Russia’s Foreign Policy: Modern Challenges» began. This year the Summer School gathered students from France, Germany, Brazil and South Korea to discuss International Relations, Russia’s place in the international system, its foreign policy and energy strategy.

During the opening ceremony of the Summer School, the Director of MGIMO’s Odintsovo campus, Sergei Vasiliev, extended a warm welcome to the guests and encouraged them to get as much information about Russia first hand, from their peers and professors. Olga Shishkina, Associate Professor at the Department of International Relations and Foreign Policy of Russia delivered an introductory lecture on International Relations.

During the Summer School, alongside their classes, students will also have the opportunity to partake in an exciting cultural program and discover the best museums, historical and architectural sights Moscow has to offer. The guests are put up on campus in a comfortable four-star hotel and can use the University’s outstanding sport complex.
