MGIMO Hosts the First Moscow Module of MBA MGIMO-ADA Joint Program

September 13th marked the opening of the first Moscow module for the students of the joint MBA Finance program by the MGIMO School of Business and International Proficiency and ADA University (Azerbaijan).

Welcoming remarks were made by the Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Chief of the Rector’s Office Artem Malgin, the Director of the MGIMO School of Business and International Proficiency Angelika Mirzoeva and the Scientific Advisor for the МВА Finance program Vasily Tkachev.

During the meeting, Mr Malgin welcomed the first students of the joint MBA program, telling them about all the benefits of the dual degree program with ADA University, the long-standing cooperation between MGIMO and one of the leading and most modern universities in Azerbaijan.

The School’s Director Angelika Mirzoeva presented the School of Business and International Proficiency as well as the MA and business education programs it teaches, with the Scientific Advisor for the MBA Finance program Vasily Tkachev focusing on the educational process at MGIMO, the structure of the University, and the disciplines in the first module.

The first module includes the courses on corporate finance, Islamic finance, digital finance, and FinTech, as well as visits to major Russian companies to get some insights into their financial and investment practice. The educational part will be complemented by a rich cultural program with museum visits and sightseeing tours.

During the first module, the MBA Finance students will get acquainted with such companies as Sberbank, Rostelecom, the International Trade Center and learn more about the activities of the Moscow Regional Management Center, while the next module will include meetings with the financial departments of Russian Railways, the Central Bank of Russia, the Moscow Stock Exchange, VTB Bank, and other companies.

This module will last until September 25th, with the second module to be held in November.
