November 6th, MGIMO Rector Anatoly Torkunov greeted at the University the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Russia, Lee Sek Bae.
The meeting was also attended by the Director of the Office of the Korean Foundation in Moscow Park Sang Bae, embassy employee Lee Sollim, and the Associate Professor at the Department of Japanese, Korean, Indonesian and Mongolian Languages Ilya Dyachkov.
Anatoly Torkunov and Lee Sek Bae reviewed the program of joint Russian-Korean events for next year, which will mark 30 years since the establishment of relations between Moscow and Seoul.
Following the interview with the Rector, Lee Sek Bae gave a welcome talk to the participants of the first conference on the study of Russian-Korean relations in the parallel history perspective, which is unfolding at MGIMO on November 6th and 7th.
