September 6th-7th, the Second Climate Forum of Cities, organized by the Department of Natural Resources Management and Environmental Protection of Moscow, took place in VDNH. During the event, the results of the contest «Leaders of Climate Development» were presented. MGIMO’s School of Applied Economics and Commerce was awarded for its «Floating University» project.
The Ecowave-2018 project was jointly implemented by MGIMO and the National Center of Engineering Competitions and Contests.
The competition focused on projects and organizations, which contributed to raising environmental awareness. The jury selected the three best projects in each the five following nominations: best project in eco-volunteering, best project in eco-education, best project in eco-innovation, best eco-project for the consumer market, best project for the eco-cities of the future. Over 80 applications were submitted in the eco-innovation category, however MGIMO’s initiative was recognized as one of the best.
