September 27th-October 3rd, the University of Kim II-sung welcomed a delegation from MGIMO consisting in the Dean of the School of International Relations Yuri Bulatov, the Associate Professor of Japanese, Korean, Indonesian and Mongolian languages Valery Sukhinin, also former Russian ambassador to North Korea, and Senior lecturer Ilya Dyachkov.
The guests took part in celebrations organized for the 70th anniversary of Kim Il-sung University and extended the congratulations of MGIMO Rector Anatoly Torkunov to the management of the University.
MGIMO's representatives also participated in the International Conference timed with the anniversary, chairing and making presentations in the political science and linguistics sections. They were interviewed by radio and television agencies. The guests from MGIMO had the opportunity to discuss with their Korean colleagues the partnership in language training between the two universities.
