April 25th, MGIMO Rector Anatoly Torkunov greeted a delegation from the global Jewish National Fund «Keren Kayemeth-LeIsrael».
The visiting delegation comprised the Vice-Chairman of the Fund and Deputy Mayor of the city of Akko Zeev Neuman, the Vice-Chairman of the Fund Shlomo Dery, the Director of the Fund’s Eurasia Department Igal Yasinov and the President of the Organization in Russia Peter Gladkov. The meeting was also attended by MGIMO’s Vice-Rector for General Affairs, Artem Malgin.
The sides discussed the different objectives and projects of the Keren Kayemeth-LeIsrael fund and the various programs MGIMO implements jointly with its Israeli partners, including its course with the Institute of Israel. They also considered the opportunities of involving the Fund in initiatives aimed at improving the environmental situation in the Russian regions and mulled over possibilities for cooperation in education, particularly in the spheres of intellectual property rights and territorial development.
