International Cuisine Day at MGIMO

May 16th, International Cuisine Day was celebrated at MGIMO. The event was organized by the International Students Association and the International Office. This year, a record number of students participated in the event.

From Mexico to Kazakhstan, from Israel to Buryatia, the participants came from all over the globe, which truly amazed all guests, eager try the national dishes on display and discover the culture of different countries.

Each community represented at the event did their utmost for their stand to be the most exciting and for it to attract a maximum number of guests, decorating it with traditional images and serving in national costumes typical dishes. The event also included a concert with groups singing and dancing to Bulgarian, Abkhaz, Azerbaijani, Mongolian, Moldavian, Uzbek, Tatar and other songs.

The official part of the ceremony was kicked-off by the Head of the International Office, Egor Andreev. The Vice-Rector for Graduate and International Programs Andrey Baykov also made a speech to the audience. The event gathered many Faculty members as well as diplomatic staff from the embassies of Bulgaria, Mongolia, Vietnam, Moldova, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Kazakhstan and others.
