International Career Day at MGIMO

28 March 2019

March 27th and 28th, MGIMO hosted its 16th Spring International Career Day. Around 50 organizations, Russian and foreign corporations and governmental structures took part in the event, holding stands, organizing workshops and training sessions for several thousand students.

The event was kicked off by the University’s Vice-Rector for Human Resources, Vladimir Morozov, who noted that MGIMO’s 75th anniversary is the perfect occasion to strengthen yet further the University’s position on the labor market. MGIMO trains experts in a wide array of fields: International Relations, Regional Studies, Political Science, Economics, Law, Management, Journalism and Public Relations. The University is one of the best worldwide according to Russian and International Rankings. The participants were also greeted by a representative of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vladislav Barmichev.

Students from MGIMO and other universities met with potential employers and applied for internships and jobs. The recruiting companies HeadHunter and SuperJob organized master classes on how to be a successful applicant. The law firm Linklaters offered career tests. Vladimir Morozov and the Dean of the School of Applied Economics and Commerce Natalya Zagrebelnaya discussed with Superjob employees the possibility of creating career guidance courses for MGIMO students.
