Open Day at MGIMO’s Odintsovo Campus

February 11th, MGIMO held an Open Day at its Odintsovo campus. Candidates and their parents came from Moscow and many other Russian cities to discover the new campus and the myriad of programs offered by the University.

The official ceremony was attended by MGIMO’s Vice-Rector for General Affairs Artem Malgin, the Director of the Odintsovo campus Sergey Vasilev, the Director of the International Institute of Energy Policy and Diplomacy Valery Salygin, the Dean of the International Law School Gennady Tolstopyatenko, the Dean of the Public Administration Faculty Henry Sardaryan, the Director of the Gorchakov lyceum Roman Kotov and other faculty members.

The speakers described the educational programs students could select in 2017 and took questions from the audience. In the hall, the different faculties held stands and the deans presented to applicants the pedagogical priorities of each course and the entry requirements. Volunteer students took the candidates on a tour of the University, showing them the educational infrastructure, language laboratories, sport centers, library and museum.

Candidates were given the opportunity to take career tests, to determine their areas of educational and professional interests, and English language tests.
