February 27th, the first cohort of graduates of the joint MBA MGIMO-MIPT Digital Economics program were awarded their diplomas.
The graduates of the dual program received diplomas of two leading Russian universities (MGIMO and MIPT) at the same time. MGIMO’s Vice-Rector A.Malgin and the Director for Internal Control and Audit of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, also Director of the MBA program on MIPT’s side, E.Evseev gave the students their diplomas during a solemn ceremony.
The Vice-Rector A.Malgin remarked that MGIMO is turning into an ideal platform for implementing "digital programs". February 27th, on the day the first experts in “Digital Economy” graduated, the University hosted a conference on Reputation Management and Internet Marketing, organized by MGIMO’s Business School and the firm Ashmanov & Partners.
The Director of the School of Business and International Proficiency A.Mirzoyeva conveyed her congratulations to the students and noted that the “Digital Economy” program was one of the first MBA programs in Russia to train experts in digital technologies: “Graduates of the program have the skills to support digital transformation in various areas of business, society and public administration.”
Among the students of the program there are heads of industrial enterprises and departments dealing with information technology, developers of digital solutions for industrial customers and civil servants.
The Director of the Alumni Association I.Arsenyev gave a talk on how to participate in the life of the University after graduation. He conveyed his congratulations to the audience and invited everyone to remain active members of the large MGIMO family. Graduates also have the unique possibility to participate in events organized by the MIPT association of graduates, as noted by the Head of the Department for Human Resources at MIPT A.Bushuev.
Graduates of the MBA in "Digital Economy" commented on the high level of organization and implementation of the program and expressed their satisfaction at the quality of the knowledge gained during their studies. Over the last two years, they visited the offices of some of the largest Russian and international companies specialized in IT and digital technologies: Yandex, McKinsey & Company, Lukoil, Rusnano, Rosatom, Invitro, IIDF, Sberbank, VTB, IBM and others.
