Deputy Speaker of Israeli Knesset Speaks at MGIMO

October 3rd, the Deputy Speaker of the Israeli Knesset, Ahmed Tibi, gave a lecture on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. The guest of honor also met with MGIMO's Vice-Rector for Graduate and International Programs Andrey Baykov.

During their interview, Andrey Baykov related to Ahmed Tibi the history of MGIMO University, the types of courses and specializations it offers and underlined the quality of the training dispensed in "International Relations".  The Vice-Rector remarked that the University attracts many international students and plays a key role in training diplomats, who upon graduation join the foreign ministries of their countries of origin.

Ahmed Tibi then spoke to an audience of MGIMO students about the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, the possible pathways for its resolution and his commitment to the protection of the rights of the Arab population of Israel.

Ahmed Tibi is the leader of the "Arab Movement for Renewal" and has strongly criticized the Israeli occupation of the West Bank and the blockade of the Gaza Strip.
